Equine Instincts — Monumental Bronze Sales Strategy & Enablement System

Project type

Monumental Bronze Sales Strategy & Enablement System: The initiative translated six high-value sculptural works into a structured go-to-market strategy designed for three priority buyer audiences: equestrian farms, residential communities, and private estates. The resulting system combined audience research, buyer psychology, personalized outreach, proposal development, placement visualization, portfolio creation, objection guidance, and pipeline organization.

Role

Outside Sales Representative

Date

April 2026 to Present

OVERVIEW:
Developed an integrated outside sales, marketing, and sales enablement system for Equine Instincts’ monumental bronze collection by artist Tammy Tappan.
The initiative translated six high-value sculptural works into a structured go-to-market strategy designed for three priority buyer audiences: equestrian farms, residential communities, and private estates. The resulting system combined audience research, buyer psychology, personalized outreach, proposal development, placement visualization, portfolio creation, objection guidance, and pipeline organization.

SITUATION:
Equine Instincts sought to expand opportunities for Tammy Tappan’s monumental bronze works beyond in-gallery discovery and into proactive, property-specific sales conversations.

Selling monumental sculpture presented a different challenge from selling smaller gallery works. Prospective buyers needed to understand not only the artwork itself, but also:
● how its scale would relate to their property
● where it could be placed
● how installation and delivery would work
● which patina would best complement the setting
● how the acquisition could support identity, legacy, or architectural impact
● whether the work would feel proportionate to its environment

The opportunity required a sales approach that was refined and relationship-driven while still giving prospects enough practical information to move toward a decision.

TASK:
Create a complete outside sales and sales enablement framework that would:
● identify the highest-fit buyer audiences
● translate buyer motivations into relevant value propositions
● support personalized prospecting and outreach
● provide clear, audience-specific proposal structures
● help buyers visualize artwork scale and placement
● address practical and emotional barriers to acquisition
● organize lead generation, follow-up, and pipeline visibility
● maintain Equine Instincts’ warm, artist-led brand voice throughout the sales process

ACTIONS:
1. Audience Segmentation & Buyer Psychology:
Defined three primary market segments:
● Equestrian farms
● Residential communities and subdivisions
● Private estates

Developed consumer behavior profiles for each audience, identifying:
● primary motivations
● emotional drivers
● decision-makers and influencers
● likely objections
● preferred proof points
● strongest placement opportunities
● messaging most likely to create relevance

Positioned monumental bronze differently for each audience:
● Farms: identity, heritage, arrival experience, and equestrian legacy
● Communities: entrance appeal, shared identity, architectural distinction, and resident value
● Private estates: personal connection, beauty, legacy, and site-specific integration

2. Sales Positioning & Proposal Strategy:
Created tailored proposal frameworks for each buyer segment, connecting individual works to the priorities of the property and prospect.

Each framework included:
● audience-specific opening language
● recommended artworks
● positioning rationale
● visual direction
● likely concerns
● objection responses
● proposed next steps

Developed three proposal deck structures with customized messaging, tone, image guidance, and calls to action for farms, communities, and private estates.

3. Monumental Bronze Portfolio Development
Built a client-facing portfolio overview covering all six featured works.

The portfolio included:
● artwork titles
● dimensions
● pricing
● available scale variations
● patina flexibility
● concise descriptions
● placement recommendations
● best-fit property types

Structured the material to help prospective buyers compare works while preserving the emotional and artistic value of the collection.

4. Placement Visualization & Buyer Education:

Developed placement concepts to show how monumental works could live within:
● farm entrances
● barn approaches
● courtyards
● estate lawns
● landscaped drives
● residential community entrances
● shared gathering spaces

Created scale-reference guidance and visualization concepts for use in property mockups and proposals.

Designed the buyer journey around a consultative sequence:
property context → artwork fit → placement concept → scale review → patina selection → next-step conversation

This approach helped shift the discussion from whether a prospect liked a sculpture to how the work could belong within a specific environment.

5. Personalized Outreach & Conversation Tools
Developed a complete set of outreach materials, including:
● warm introduction messages
● cold emails
● referral requests
● phone talking points
● text messages
● follow-up sequences
● post-meeting communications

Created discovery questions to identify:
● preferred placement areas
● aesthetic priorities
● scale considerations
● decision-makers
● property constraints
● patina preferences
● interest in visualization support

The outreach language was designed to feel thoughtful and personalized rather than transactional or overly sales-focused.

6. Objection Handling & Confidence Building:
Prepared internal sales guidance addressing common buyer concerns related to:
● placement
● scale
● installation
● delivery
● durability
● patina selection
● maintenance
● investment value

Organized each concern into clear response points that could be adapted to the buyer, property, and artwork under discussion.

7. Lead Tracking & Pipeline Organization:
Built a structured lead tracker to support prospecting, outreach, and follow-up.

The system included:
● prospect and property information
● audience category
● artwork interest
● lead source
● outreach status
● follow-up dates
● next actions
● pipeline stages
● KPI counts
● dropdown fields for consistent tracking

The framework created clearer visibility into active opportunities and established a repeatable process for managing future outreach.

RESULT:
Delivered a complete sales strategy and enablement system for six monumental bronze works across three target buyer audiences.

Key outputs included:
● three audience-specific sales strategies
● three proposal deck structures
● a Target Audience Strategy and Buyer Profile Matrix
● a client-facing Monumental Bronze Portfolio
● personalized outreach and follow-up templates
● a discovery question guide
● objection and confidence-building resources
● placement and visualization recommendations
● visual process graphics and proposal-support concepts
● a structured lead tracker with pipeline and KPI visibility

The project gave Equine Instincts a more organized foundation for initiating high-value conversations, presenting monumental sculpture in a property-specific context, and guiding prospects from initial interest toward informed acquisition consideration.

STRATEGIC INSIGHT:
Monumental artwork cannot be marketed effectively through product information alone.

For high-value, site-specific works, prospects need to understand:
● why the work fits their environment
● what it contributes to the identity of the property
● how its scale will feel in context
● what the acquisition and placement process will require
● how practical concerns will be managed

By combining emotional positioning with concrete placement guidance, the sales process becomes less abstract and more consultative.

The most effective pathway is not:
artwork → price → purchase

It is:
buyer motivation → property context → artwork fit → visualization → confidence → conversation

WHAT THIS DEMONSTRATES:
● Development of a complete go-to-market strategy for high-value artwork
● Audience segmentation and buyer psychology analysis
● Personalized, multi-channel prospecting strategy
● Sales enablement asset and proposal development
● Ability to translate brand positioning into buyer-relevant value propositions
● Consultative selling and relationship-centered communication
● Integration of creative direction, marketing strategy, and pipeline organization
● Complex product positioning across multiple decision-making environments
● Operational systems development supporting repeatable sales execution
● Ability to move from broad business opportunity to structured implementation
